ACTIVITIES: In February 2011, Baroness Hooper hosted a reception for the Latin American Travel Association.
In May, Baroness Hooper addressed the Christian Aid Latin American Group Meeting of NGOs working in Latin America, and invited the BOND Group to address the APPG for Latin America at a return meeting to discuss the role of NGOs.
In June, the Latin America Group, jointly with the APPG for Brazil, welcomed Jeremy Browne MP, Minister of State for Latin America, to discuss his recent trip to the region and the UK’s ambitions in Latin America.
At the AGM in June, Baroness Hooper was re-elected as Chair of the Group.
