Membership of the BGIPU comprises all members of the House of Commons and all members of the House of Lords numbering around 1450 members of the UK Parliament in total.


The British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (BGIPU) aims to serve Britain’s interests through advancing the Parliamentary dimension of Britain’s foreign relations and has worked to buiild cooperation and shape global events for 130 years. There are a number of ways to benefit from participating in the work of the British Group.


All UK Parliamentarians are members of the BGIPU and its key aim is to promote the parliamentary dimension of Britain’s foreign relations.  Participation in BGIPU activities is open to all Members of Parliament.  You can register your interest in participating in BGIPU activities here...
