IPU publishes its Impact Report for the five year period 2017-2021
In 2017, as we set out on a new strategic cycle, our objective was “the advancement of democratic values, the rule of law and strong, representative institutions, and the promotion of gender equality and human rights.” Five years on, IPU Secretary General, Martin Chungong, asks what impact have we had? What difference has the IPU made? And can we claim to have had a lasting and positive impact on people’s lives?
This report published in April 2022 describes some of the IPU’s most significant results in the eight strategic objectives set by Member Parliaments five years ago. It can be viewed online or downloaded here.
