The IPU Parliamentary Hearing at the UN is annual event providing parliamentary perspectives on key issues on the UN agenda.

BGIPU Chair, Rt Hon Karen Bradley MP, accompanied by Dan Carden MP and Damien Moore MP, participated in the IPU Parliamentary Hearing held at UN Headquarters in New York on 13-14 February 2023 on the theme Water for People and Planet: Stop the waste, change the game, invest in the future, which provided a parliamentary perspective on the UN Water Conference, to be held in New York on 22-24 March 2023.

In the margins of these discussions, Ms Bradley MP and other members of the UK delegation also had exchanges with counterparts from a wide range of countries including Canada, France, Ireland, Spain and Belgium on IPU issues in preparation for the upcoming 146th IPU Assembly in Manama, Bahrain.
