APPG for North Macedonia farewells Ambassador Miovska at end of her term

The APPG for North Macedonia held a farewell reception in honour of Aleksandra Miovska, North Macedonia’s Ambassador to the UK, who will finish her term of office in a few weeks’ time.

Ambassador Miovska began her posting in London in 2018, the day after the APPG was official formed with five members. Over the last four years, thanks to the collective efforts of the Ambassador and APPG officers, the Group has grown to 20 members which is a testament to the strengthening of parliamentary relations between our two countries during that time.

Speaking at the reception, Ambassador Miovska thanked the APPG for their support in improving bilateral relations and assisting North Macedonia in areas such as NATO membership, which was achieved in March 2020, and EU accession, where progress continues to be made.

Co-Chairs Martin Vickers MP and Alex Sobel MP praised the Ambassador for her fantastic work over the last four years. They welcomed the proactive approach that Ambassador Miovska has taken which has undoubtedly had a hugely positive impact. The Ambassador will be greatly missed.  The event was kindly funded by the BGIPU.
