The International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace is a permanent observer of the IPU. It is the legislative arm of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, created in 2017 to contribute to the promotion of a culture of tolerance among the peoples and nations of the world.

The IPU Committee on Middle East Questions is made up of 12 Members of Parliament from around the world with expertise in the Middle East. Its members are elected by the IPU Governing Council for four years. Israel and Palestine are ex-officio members of the Committee.
